We are looking for an experienced Storeperson to join our dynamic team based at our Perth branch. At Cummins we specialise in heavy vehicle repairs and maintenance across mining, on-highway, and power generation products.

*In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways: *

  • Hands on work – using RF scanners to transact goods dispatch

  • Using hand powered trolleys 80% of the time

  • Using forklifts 20% of the time

  • Hands on work – using RF scanners to transact goods receipt

  • Using hand powered trolleys 80% of the time

  • Using forklifts 20% of the time

  • Hands on work creating consignments and booking transport

  • 80% keyboard data entry

  • 20% hands on moving boxed

  • 100% using forklift or PIV to move parts between workshops and warehouse

  • Participate in training and safety meetings

  • General cleaning activity – 30 mins a day

  • Daily inventory management tasks

*To be successful in this role, you will need the following: *

  • A current High Risk Forklift licence (preferable but not essential)

  • WA driver’s licence

  • The flexibility to work reasonable overtime as required

  • Previous warehousing/stores experience preferred but not essential – on the job training available to suitable applicants

  • Previous experience in a customer facing role as part of a team would be beneficial  

  • Ability to work unsupervised and commit to undertaking all work safely and efficiently

  • Intermediate computer skills (MS Office – intermediate Excel) and can learn new systems and processes quickly

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent.

  • Licenses/Certifications: Certification to operate powered industrial vehicles and other heavy machinery. Forklift license required.

  • Experience: Some work experience or intermediate level knowledge through education, training, or on-the-job experience.
