DESCRIPTION
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways :
Expert Troubleshooting and Repairs: Independently handle complex engine troubleshooting, repairs, and rebuilds, ensuring high-quality service.
Mentorship and Development: Coach and develop less experienced technicians, sharing your knowledge and expertise to build a stronger team.
Adherence to Procedures: Apply documented procedures and policies to perform accurate diagnostics and repairs, maintaining consistency and reliability.
Preventative Maintenance: Conduct thorough preventative maintenance based on engine assessments, preventing future issues and extending engine life.
Accurate Documentation: Complete all required documentation, such as work completed documents, time sheets, warranty claims, and quality forms, ensuring accurate records.
Continuous Learning: Engage in ongoing training to meet skill and business requirements, staying updated with the latest industry practices.
Workplace Organization: Maintain a clean and well-organized work area and tools, promoting efficiency and safety.
Health, Safety & Environmental Compliance: Ensure adherence to all relevant health, safety, and environmental policies, procedures, and legislation, and report any issues to supervisors.
RESPONSIBILITIES
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
Technical Expertise: Proficiency in troubleshooting, repairing, and rebuilding engine products independently, while also coaching and developing less experienced technicians.
Diagnostic Skills: Ability to apply documented procedures and policies to perform complex diagnostics and repairs, using specialized equipment and software tools.
Preventative Maintenance and Documentation: Skill in performing preventative maintenance based on engine assessments and completing all required documentation accurately.
Knowledge Transfer and Compliance: Capability to coach and develop technicians and apprentices, maintain a clean and organized work area, and ensure adherence to health, safety, and environmental policies.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education/ Experience
Preferably trained as an apprentice engine technician.
Vocational diploma from a relevant technical institution.
A locally valid driving permit is preferred.
Potential licensing required for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
Advanced level knowledge of and/or experience with engine products.
