DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a talented Skilled Technician - Level III to join our team specializing in upfitting engines to customer requirements for our Distribution Center in Wellingborough, Northamptonshire, United Kingdom.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Support Manufacturing Needs: Perform skilled activities using appropriate tools and machinery to support business operations.

  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) standards, report hazards, and use personal protective equipment to ensure a safe working environment.

  • Environmental Responsibility: Recognize and minimize the negative impact of your work on the environment.

  • Quality Assurance: Apply high standards of workmanship, perform quality inspections, and provide feedback to improve preventive maintenance systems.

  • Maintenance Excellence: Conduct preventive, emergency, corrective, and predictive maintenance activities to ensure equipment uptime.

  • Team Collaboration: Communicate effectively with team members and support staff, and participate in continuous improvement activities.

  • Coaching and Mentoring: Instruct and coach others, acting as an informal resource for less experienced team members.

  • Housekeeping and Organization: Maintain a clean and orderly work area, including routine housekeeping and machine cleaning tasks.

RESPONSIBILITIES

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

  • Health and Safety Fundamentals: Champion proactive health and safety behaviors, identify and report hazards, and participate in actions to improve workplace safety.

  • Controls Safety: Recognize and manage hazards related to electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic controls, incorporating safe practices into daily work plans.

  • Manufacturing Knowledge: Demonstrate a strong understanding of manufacturing processes, equipment, and applications, and implement changes to meet functional needs and drive continuous improvement.

  • Attention to Detail and Customer Focus: Ensure high attention to detail when upfitting engines to customer specifications, and maintain a strong customer focus to deliver quality products. Previous experience in a similar role and knowledge of the motor trade are advantageous.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education/ Experience:

  • High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.

  • Requires significant relevant work experience or specialized skills obtained through education, training or on-the-job experience

  • This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
