DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a talented Product Functional Test Mechanical TechnicianLevel III to join our team specializing in Product Functional Test for our Cummins Inc. facility in Stoughton, WI

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  1. Accurate Testing : By performing tests according to established procedures, you'll ensure consistent and reliable results.

  3. Data Management : Configuring and operating data acquisition systems, and analyzing data, will ensure its appropriateness and reliability.

  4. Product Knowledge : Your in-depth knowledge of the product under test will help assess its contribution to test results.

  5. Laboratory Maintenance : Installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining test stands and lab equipment will keep operations running smoothly.

  6. Engineering Support : Providing recommendations for equipment supplier evaluation and qualification will aid in making informed decisions.

  7. Facility Updates : Supporting equipment and facility updates will ensure the lab remains up-to-date and efficient.

  8. Versatility : Performing other duties as required will demonstrate your adaptability and commitment to the team's success.

  10. Set Up Tests : Determine optimal test setups in accordance with safety and environmental requirements, and fabricate necessary systems.

  11. Build Test Articles : Assemble test articles to meet test requirements, ensuring they can successfully undergo functional tests.

  12. Maintain Equipment : Develop and execute preventative and predictive maintenance strategies based on machine and tool maintenance records.

  13. Ensure Data Quality : Identify and correct data flaws to support effective information governance and decision-making.

  14. Solve Problems Systematically : Use systematic analysis processes to solve problems, mentor others, and implement robust, data-based solutions.

  15. Value Differences : Recognize and appreciate the value of diverse perspectives and cultures within the organization.

Education, Licenses, Certifications:

High school diploma, certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience in an appropriate STEM field is required.

Regionally applicable certification or two year Associates Degree from an accredited college or university in a relevant field of study may be required.

This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

Experience:

Requires significant relevant work experience or specialized skills obtained through education, training or on-the-job experience.

QUALIFICATIONS

Applicant will need strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
