DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a talented Customer Order Management Representative to join our team specializing in Supply Chain Planning for our SC COM EMEA Departement in Rumst,Belgium

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Deliver Seamless Customer Experience: Serve as the single point of contact for key customer accounts, ensuring smooth communication, order accuracy, and timely resolution of issues throughout the entire order life cycle.

  • Drive On-Time Fulfillment: Coordinate with distribution centers, manufacturing plants, and logistics to ensure orders are processed, shipped, and delivered on time, directly contributing to customer satisfaction and retention.

  • Resolve Complex Issues Efficiently: Use deep knowledge of internal systems and procedures to troubleshoot and resolve escalated or complex customer inquiries, enhancing trust and strengthening client relationships.

  • Ensure Compliance and Accuracy: Maintain accurate documentation and records while ensuring orders comply with export regulations and shipping requirements, minimizing risks and delays.

  • Improve Quality and Processes: Act as a liaison for quality-related concerns, initiating corrective action through Material or Process Non-Conformance claims, thereby supporting product and service improvement.

  • Enhance Internal Collaboration: Facilitate effective communication between customers and internal departments (logistics, quality, manufacturing), fostering cross-functional alignment to meet customer needs.

  • Support Strategic Reporting and Insights: Prepare and share both standardized and tailored reports, providing insights that support better decision-making for internal teams and customers.

  • Champion Continuous Improvement: Actively contribute to departmental initiatives and lead or participate in process improvement projects, helping transform customer support into a proactive, value-added function.

RESPONSIBILITIES

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

  • Strong Operational and Technical Proficiency: Be comfortable navigating order life cycle systems and working with large data sets in tools like Excel and Outlook to process, track, and manage customer orders accurately and efficiently.

  • Effective Time and Self-Management: Work independently with strong organizational skills to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and proactively resolve customer issues without constant supervision.

  • Exceptional Communication and Problem-Solving Skills: Clearly articulate solutions and updates to customers and internal teams, manage ambiguity with confidence, and take ownership of problems through to resolution.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education/ Experience:

  • High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.

  • College or equivalent degree preferred.

  • Requires some work experience and intermediate level knowledge obtained through training or on-the-job experience in customer order management, account management or in the supply chain field.
