Cummins Inc. Warranty Analyst (m/w/d) in Nuernberg, Germany

DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a talented Warranty Analyst to join our team specializing in Service for Cummins in Nuernberg, Bayern, Germany.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • You will become part of the current product engineering team and acting as our warranty adjudicator for the eMobility traction products

  • After a period of training and collaboration with our various departments he/she will grow in his role

  • You will be the central point of contact for warranty decisions for the eMobility traction products (motors, inverters, eAxles, …) for international customers

  • You will work closely together with other departments within the organization (Quality, Order Management, Repair shop, Operations, …)

  • Based on this collaboration you’ll build up a good technical knowledge of our products. This knowledge is an asset for making warranty decisions and writing the accompanying reports.

  • Based on the technical findings of the external and internal stakeholders you will prepare the final warranty decision towards customers

  • You will manage the different warranty claim contracts for multiple international customers

  • You will Participate in continuous improvement efforts and standard work development for the warranty decision making team

  • Sporadically you will support the current product support team with diagnostic investigations on products, vehicles and systems.

  • You put safety in everything with the objective of injury free living.

RESPONSIBILITIES

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

  • You hold minimum a bachelor’s or master’s degree in industrial engineering or electro-mechanical engineering or equivalent field service engineering work experience.

  • Proven technical experience (electric motors, inverters, automotive, …)

  • Proven automotive experience and warranty handling experience

  • Proven experience in automotive and handling of warranty claims

  • Basic to intermediate level of relevant work experience is preferred. Prior experience in a technical role is preferred.

  • Understanding of automotive, automation, electro mechanics, electricity is a plus.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication and conversation skills (German and English)

  • You are able to use this skill to translate the technical findings into an understandable technical report for the customer.

  • Proven capability to build effective formal and informal relationships inside and outside the organization.

  • Commitment to holding self and others accountable to meet appointments and deadlines.

  • Demonstrated initiative in actively seeking new ways to grow and be challenged using both formal and informal development channels.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education/ Experience:

  • College, university or equivalent required or equivalent experience required.

  • Intermediate level of relevant work experience, including Call Center Representative experience, required.
