DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a talented Communications Specialist to join our team specializing in Communications for Cummins, Inc. in Indianapolis, IN.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
Project, Account, and Vendor Management : Assist with managing projects, accounts, and vendor relationships.
Stakeholder Relationships : Develop and support relationships with stakeholders, leaders, and vendors.
Communications Planning : Support the execution of strategic communications plans, including marketing promotional plans and communications plans. Assist with tactical execution.
Content Creation : Write, edit, and create content and strategic messaging, adhering to the relevant style guide. Learn, represent, and champion the Cummins brand.
Budget Management : Manage, support, and maintain budget and financials.
Event Planning : Prepare and execute event planning and logistics.
Training and Presentations : Lead functional training sessions and create and deliver presentations.
Data Analysis : Compile, analyze, and utilize metrics, data, and analytics to inform decisions.
RESPONSIBILITIES
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
Brand Management - Ensure all communications and materials adhere to brand standards to create a consistent and positive perception.Position the brand to meet or exceed stakeholder expectations by understanding their needs and preferences.
Digital media savvy - Utilize email automation, social media, and content management systems to effectively reach and influence your target audience.Keep up to date on emerging digital media strategies to continuously improve your approach and stay ahead of the competition.
Communicates effectively - Tailor your communication style to the unique needs of different audiences, ensuring clarity and engagement.Use various channels to deliver your message effectively.
Business Writing - Write business messages using appropriate grammar and style guidelines tailored to the format or publication. Break down complex information into easily understandable messages relevant to your target audience.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Experience:
College, university, or equivalent degree in communications, marketing, or a related subject required.
Digital experience preferred (emerging trends, digital for business, metrics, paid vs. organic, advertising content). Graphic design skills, visual communications channel capabilities preferred. Client/account management preferred. System integration/account management (very applicable to marketing) preferred. B2B experience preferred.
Additional Responsibilities:
As a Communications Specialist supporting EBU North America On-Highway, you will also be highly involved in the following:
Drive marketing and communication strategies through product ownership (developing the personality for the X10 product launch and beyond)
Develop and launch an ongoing digital marketing campaign targeting the vocational segments, truck bodybuilders, focusing on educating them on the X10, promoting awareness, encouraging lead capture
Lead and Manage Marketing Communications for Industry Events
Act as EBU marcomms lead and manage event strategy for various tradeshows and customer events, ensuring effective management of industry relationships and potential lead capture.
Enhance Sales Enablement through increased engagement with Field Sales Support
Work closely with key stakeholders within leadership and the Field Sales Support Organization to help improve and increase sales enablement with actionable tactics, strategic communication planning and collaborative efforts throughout our channels.
