DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a talented CBU HSE Risk Manager to join our team, specialising in Health & Safety for the EMEA region in the United Kingdom.
This position is categorised as a remote role and can be performed from any Cummins site across Europe.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
Collaborate with VPI/NBS program leaders and BU sites across the EMEA region to ensure effective health, safety, and environmental (HSE) measures.
Support specific projects and campaigns, manage multiple tasks, and ensure alignment with BU HSE objectives.
Provide hands-on support to sites across the region to achieve health, safety, environmental, and sustainability objectives, leading best practice sharing and contributing to standardised solutions for common problems.
Represent the region when collaborating with global teams to drive continuous improvement through program, policy, and procedure development.
Coach sites in the implementation of HSE hazard and risk controls through the development of procedures, engineering controls, education, and awareness programs.
Lead or participate in regional HSE audits, supporting sites before and after audits to ensure audit preparedness and conformance.
Mentor local site HSE resources, identifying opportunities for growth and professional development.
Contribute to local incident investigations of severe incidents while meeting reporting obligations.
RESPONSIBILITIES
To be successful in this role, you will need the following:
Technical Expertise: Proficiency in HSE design, risk elimination, compliance, and training programs to provide hands-on support and guidance.
Analytical Skills and Risk Assessment: Strong skills in incident investigation, root cause analysis, and risk assessment to implement effective corrective actions and sustainable risk controls.
Influence the Health, Safety and Environmental Culture: Champion positive health and safety behaviours by influencing leaders and employees to create the right environment.
Collaboration: Building partnerships and working collaboratively with others to meet shared objectives.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education/Experience:
Significant relevant experience in Health, Safety, and Environmental roles is essential.
Preferably, experience working across multiple countries within the region.
Progress toward obtaining professional certification is highly desirable.
