DESCRIPTION
Diesel Mechanic – Field Service – Biloela 7/7 Roster

• 7/7 Roster based in Emerald and Bowen Basin Coal mining area

We have an opportunity for a talented Field Service technician to join our team specialising in engine repairs and maintenance at our mine sites in Dawson, Callide, and Baralaba. Based in Biloela whilst on shift.

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
• Complete repairs and maintenance of heavy diesel products and attend to breakdowns in the field
• Diagnose and repair engines
• Inspect and replace components as required
• Engine rebuilding and reconditioning
• Work with other major OEM’s such as Hitachi, Komatsu, Liebherr
RESPONSIBILITIES
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
• Relevant Heavy Diesel trade qualification - Heavy Vehicle Mechanic/Plant Mechanic or Diesel Fitter (to Australian standards)
• Experience as a Diesel Mechanic in the service and maintenance of heavy diesel products, mining equipment, power generation on engines and similar applications is preferred (ideally with an OEM)

QUALIFICATIONS
To be successful in this role you will need the following:
Local Valid Drivers License
Apprentice Trained Engine Technician - Relevant Heavy Diesel trade qualification - Heavy Vehicle Mechanic/Plant Mechanic or Diesel Fitter (to Australian standards)
Experience as a Diesel Mechanic in the service and maintenance of heavy diesel products, mining equipment, power generation on engines and similar applications is preferred (ideally with an OEM)
Standard and relevant mine site inductions is preferred but not required
Intermediate level knowledge/experience of heavy duty engine in the field or from the workshop looking to move into the field
Note:
This role has a 7 on / 7 off roster, 12.5 hours per shift.

Annualised salary
