Cummins Inc. Parts Supervisor in Cairns, Australia

DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a talented Parts Supervisor to join our team in our Cairns Branch . Reporting to the Operations Manager , you will be responsible for processing customer orders, ensuring the timely quoting and dispatch of products, reporting and inventory control as well as direct involvement in customer service improvement and business development initiatives. With your outstanding customer service skills, you will play a pivotal role in supporting Cummins engine users across the far north QLD region

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

  • Oversee the parts team and warehouse for our Wodonga branch – including managing stock levels, inventory records, stock takes, compliance, receiving goods, packaging and warehouse optimization

  • Manage customers and agreements for pricing/service/escalations

  • Process customer orders and provide guidance to customers on parts selection, ordering

  • Ensure the team and you comply with HSE standards, policies, procedures, and regulations and promoting a safe work environment

  • Follow all applicable standard work, work instruction/process documentation and established quality procedures

  • Provide monthly reporting on inventory and customer activity.

  • Drive continuous improvement within the parts department

RESPONSIBILITIES

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

  • Previous experience in a part’s transactional role, with solid understanding of maintaining stock levels and inventory records

  • Demonstrated supervisory experience

  • Be solutions focused with the ability to problem solve and display a high level of competency with core work skills

  • Strong communication skills with a proven track record of building strong relationships and offering customer-centric solutions

QUALIFICATIONS

Base hourly rate commensurate with experience. Overtime penalties. Participation in an annual variable compensation (bonus) program. Salary continuance insurance.
